STEM in action

In 3/4 we have been learning about different forces and we got to investigate gravity, friction, buoyancy, magnetism, push & pull, thrust and tension. After 3 weeks of investigating these different forces we got given a STEM task… how can you get an object from A to B using forces and the challenge was to create a ride at an Amusement Park. Students were enthusiastic about the project instantly using the design process model. We aren’t finished yet… we keep improving our work as we are creating… but check out our amazing, creative project ideas so far!!!!  #3/4M #thecreativeproblemsolvers

    Hi M&M,
This STEM activity is very fun but it also includes alot off teamwork. You have to think outside the box so you know what to do.
I think Felix and his group worked well.
    Every group has something unique.
I cant wait for another project like this.

    That was so fun!
Me and Jazzy have almost finished but we failed a few times. One of the fails that occured was when we decided that we would make a ‘horror’ themed waterslide. The ground was ment to be red, yello, green and blue but it was mainly supposed to be red. But when it dried it turned into….. BLUE! It didnt match with our theme and half the waterslide turned blue. We also had some seats for our carriage but when they dried up it just turned into small blobs.
