Book Week Fun

August31

From Monday, August 18th until Friday, August 22nd our school celebrated CBCA- Children’s Book Council of Australia BOOK WEEK. The theme was Connect to Reading and Reading to Connect. We waited with anticipation to see what books would be chosen winners from the short listed books. Throughout the week we had fun activities each day that related to the short listed books. After reading and discussing the wonderful Windy Farm by Doug MacLeod and Craig Smith, Children's Book Review, The Windy Farm

we got to see the fantastic theater production by Tony Bones Ent. We also had two fun dress up days and a buddy read in afternoon in the library. What was a blast!!

What did you enjoy most about Book Week?

Which book did you want or expect to win and why?

Below are some fun photos from our Friday shared lunch with our buddies from 5/6WM during book week.

    Dear Miss Murphy,
I really enjoy book week especially the play by Tony Bones. I also enjoyed dressing up in spots and dots, but mostly the language and communication dress up. It was WONDERFUL!
